11:34 pm	Journal Entry It's June -- the home-stretch of spring term. Exams are next week, which means this week it's nearly nonstop review and last-minute reassurances to panicked students. I am really quite proud of my OWLs and NEWTs students: a few of them compiled a list of quite dreadful review questions as a joke, but I (knowing how dreadful some of the ACTUAL questions have been lately) had them try to write up actual answers, for practice. They were GLORIOUS. I can now name at least a handful of students who may have fine careers ahead of them in law or politics. Now, if we can just make it through the week without Peeves anyone trying to blow up one of the girls' toilets again.... ( Private to Adrian ) (16 Comments |Comment on this)

It looks as though young Draco is to be the next speaker, and I'm strongly considering attending (for a whole bunch of reasons). Of course, I bloody well know better than to show up unaccompanied, so I thought I'd ask -- are you planning on attending, and would you be interested in accompanying me? 1:12 am	Public Journal Entry: Happy Easter! Happy Easter, everyone! The first signs of spring have come to Hogwarts: the grounds are no longer snow-covered, but are instead mud-covered as the last bits of slush melt slowly away. This interferes greatly with my plan to celebrate spring by rolling around in the fresh grass. Soon, perhaps. Other signs of spring: at least two of our 1st years have mastered Colour-Change charms. I know this because I received among Easter gifts from my 1st year class not one, but TWO colour-changed live baby chicks: one bright pink and the other a delicate shade of lavender. I have introduced them to Chunder, who seems to be glad of the company; and anyway I am virtually certain he will reckon them too big to eat, even if I have caught him licking them a couple of times. (He does that to me, too; I prefer to think of it as a sign of affection.) In other news, as most of you have no doubt seen, my mother now has a journal of her very own so now I shall have to be careful of how much I flirt here. And now, Mum, you'll understand why I was asking about the chickens. And now, back to lesson planning. Tomorrow's class shall deal with defence against those frightening multicolour marshmallow animals, which are a Dark Art if ever I saw one. (8 Comments |Comment on this)

9:26 pm	Journal Entry -- Hexed Very, Very Private to Hermione I had a very nice visit with Luna. Turns out we've both had interesting... dreams? Hallucinations? About King's Cross. I didn't tell her everything I know. But we've got an outing planned to the station this Saturday. I have no idea what we'll find, if anything. But I'll keep you posted. And I welcome any suggestions you might think of on what to look for. As usual, I'm rather flying by the seat of my pants here.... (Comment on this)
